Last game you bought?

That’s a good bundle. ProTip:. There’s a tiny, skinny map component in the cardboard punchouts for Nemo’s War that is really easy to miss, and no one looks cool digging through the recycling to try and find it two days later…or so I’m told.

I’ve got everything, I’m assuming you mean the Saudi Arabia tunnel, and I’ve got it, thanks for the heads up

Right, so I got on a rare trip on the hype train and pre-ordered two Unmatched sets… Buffy and Cobble and Fog.

Purely because who doesn’t want to see Buffy take on Dracula, The Invisible Man or Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. Sherlock Holmes is terrible.

I’ll check out some Canadian ones. At that price, I assume it’s a full 4 fighter set which is cool.

Seen it on boardgameguru but it’s not out till November and I don’t think they’ve announced who is in it. I would guess at Buffy.

Yeah, I’ll probably pre-order it later this summer.

I think Buffy is a good guess. If it’s based on the show, I think Spike or Angel are likely, maybe not both.

Can’t think of any other fighty characters, though they have Sherlock so who knows.

Maybe faith. Don’t know if willow would be a hero or the full scoobies would accompany Buffy. With Dracula in cobble and fog I don’t know what they would do with spike or angel.

I’m gonna hold out for some more details.

Also think there was meant to be more Jurassic park sets coming but haven’t heard anything about them.

I remembered Faiths character, but couldn’t remember her name.

I know about the Sattler vs TRex, but as you said, nothing mentioned recently. Maybe after Buffy? Could be trying to figure out how to make the TRex work! Lol

Not really bought, but forgot to mention that I also received the Quacks of Quedlinberg Herb Witches expansion. Looking forward to trying it out one of these days.

Good Willow or Bad Willow?

No spoiler as tag it’s over 20 years old…

Imagining an Alice or jekyl/hyde mechanic where you could switch between.

This news, it is good news!

I’m sorry for the off-topic gripe, but personally I’m extremely grateful when people don’t make that assumption. Not Buffy thankfully, but I’m catching up with several gaps in my cultural knowledge and it’s very frustrating if I accidentally find something out in the wrong sequence just by happening to look at the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Speaking personally, I’m not sure that there’s such a thing as a time limit on spoilers, because no matter how ubiquitous something is, I try to work on the assumption that there’s always one person who’s half way through it or was planning to watch it. Mainly because growing up, it was usually me.

For me it’s about the magnitude of the spoiler, as I haven’t watched the full Buffy arc until I started now but even I knew about this from the sixth form discussions back in the day. From what I know it’a also fairly heavily telegraphed in that season.

I wouldn’t spoil parts of Battlestar Galactica like the sleeper Cylons or parts of Games of Thrones, such as the red wedding as you miss a huge part of the narrative to experience these events during the arc.

Back to Unmatched: Buffy my guess would be six characters for 3v3 team play

Not a new one for sure, but a personal happy point for me. 5 years ago my house was flooded, and I lost a lot of stuff. Mostly my large game and blu-ray collection, but also a couple of games. One of them was Lords of Waterdeep. It’s not the deepest or rarest game, but I loved it. Since getting back into the hobby this year, I’ve really wanted to pick it up again, but spending £30+ on something I’ve had when I could be picking up new things was always a sticking point.

Last night I popped onto Facebook marketplace as I’m looking for some shelves or a bookcase, and a previous search for boardgames told me that someone nearby was selling Low, cheap. I pinged them a message and this morning popped up the road to fill the hole in my collection for £15! Other than a little shelf wear, it’s pretty much perfect. It’s never been played and the cards are still in shrink. I’m a happy chap

This is my wife’s favorite game, so it would be an instant replacement for us if it were lost or damaged.

Having decided not to back the Kickstarter for the expansion and end up spending way too much money on games + expansions + shipping, I did pick up a copy of Tokyo Metro, plus a little dexterity game consisting entirely of 24 magnets and a shoelace:

I’m all for more games using cloth boards to save shelf space
