That takes me back. Summer I was 14 or so at my dad’s was spent getting pallets, taking them apart by hand (hammering the nails reusable too) to make a small deck.

Indeed we shall: something of the sort happens when making jewellery too. Actually, burning knots is positively recommended in some contexts, and the best gadget for that also has fishing applications.
