General Asynch Recruiting Thread

I really thought we’d have two tables running. Sorry this one filled up!

La Granja - room for 4 but will start at 3. This is top 10 list fodder in my growing esteem.

Clans of Caledonia - 3 or 4. Terra Mystica lite for those who don’t know it. There’s only one currency (money) and the majority of points come from contracts filled by what your buildings produce rather than scattered bonus options.

No worries! Next time

You, Norm, Verde, and Capt could get a rocking table together. We did a bunch of plays earlier in the year?

OK, No love for Caledonia. How about Zoos in New York? I’ve only done it solo and have wanted to try a real game.

Are you you happy for me to not know what I’m doing?

Very. There’s a tutorial and it’s light. It’s a fiddly game, but most of that is around setup. The thing you have to keep in mind is a) when you can add animals to an enclosure, and b) you can only ever add max 2 animals to an enclosure at a time. Those bits feel a bit arbitrary until you internalize them.

That’s not a link to a table, just the game in general

Oops. Corrected link in original post.

I was tempted about Clans of Caledonia as it’s been a purchase I’ve been mulling over for a while, but am way too busy even to get into a remote asynchronous game. Similarly with New Frontiers.

Anyone keen on Evolution!? It’s now avaialble on BGA

Also, always keen on more Pax Renaissance. Otherwise, you up for another duel? @mr.ister

We just finished a game of Yokai Septet as a team and you’ve already forgotten me? I’m hurt…

Same as on here.

Anyone up for a game of Crisps? It’s a 2p climbing game, it’s in beta on BGA and apparently it’s pretty good!

Yeah. Invite me!

What about Jekyll vs Hyde and Dracula vs Van Helsing, @anyone?

I would need to read the rules, but I would be up for trying either.

After reading the rules for each, both sound fun! I think JvH might be the easier to play, as you don’t need to memorize symbology, as you need to do in DvVH for the discard effects, but they are simple enough it should not take long to pick up. So I would be good playing either. Do you have a preference?

Will start JvH. We can then decide what to do next after the game.
