I don’t think I’d care too much about that irl as it’s probably 20 minutes long?
Dealt a bad hand? Roll one dice, start the next round. Going the the website to find there’s nothing you can do is disappointing

Yeah, the joy in this type of game is the group around the table rooting for someone to explode, cheering amazing rolls and laughing at bad ones. And it looks super quick, and could easily be modified to be longer or shorter by adjusting the number of rounds. The joy is just lost in virtual, asynch play.

There’s another disjunction for me: you’re going to have at least twelve dice available, more as the game goes on, but with the cards we saw even using even three dice was often pushing the odds a bit. (And when I won a round it was usually because everyone else had bust before it was my turn.) I’d like to see (maybe this is in the game but we didn’t get them) cards where the optimal throw is a bit bigger, though without being “all the dice you have” because that’s just more points to whoever’s already winning.

Still enjoying New Frontiers! I was saying in the post game chat, looks like a consume strategy can take off. The difference between attempt 1 and 2 was a) establishing reliable income at the start and b) getting that consume x2 development much earlier.
I won’t initiate any more games just now but if anyone starts another, please include me!

Yeah, I accidently supercharged your consume by also going consume without any reliable income generation.
I still find it much harder to parse game states online as I’m not seeing people take something and not reading the game logs.
