Admitting to my ignorance, I have to ask: What is that?

They’re “fat baby” achocha. It’s a South American relative of cucumbers. They taste a bit like green bell peppers.

Batch of home grown chilli peppers, lovely fruity heat off the ripe yellow ones. Hopefully they’ll make an appearance in the cooking thread too at some stage!

Yep! We weren’t really sure what sort of yield we’d get, we’ve been harvesting for a while now as well but this is the final harvest before it gets too cold to leave them out.

Today I finally decided to brave the cold and plant out a bunch of grasses and heuchera.

Doesn’t look very impressive at the moment, but I’m hoping it’ll look good once they’ve grown a bit!

Only had to dig out a few crocosmia corms first…

Processing vegetation into the compost heap.
Planning new raised bed.
Sowing broad beans.
Harvested and ate over wintered taters.
