Hey folks, I am planning on releasing an audio short story podcast focused on Battletech. It’s a 50/50 split of Lecture (in the vein of Tex Talks Battletech, which are spectacular) and diagetic Mech on Mech gladiatorial combat (sorta like… wrestling? Football?).
Anyway. I want to release the podcast in May, but I’d love if y’all could give them a listen (the longest is 15 minutes, the shortest is around 6min) and let me know if you have any feedback.
The things I am most curious about are:
- Is the music and/or FX too loud? Too quiet? About right?
- Is the narrative engaging? Do I sound clear enough?
- Is there anything you can think of that would make this more interesting for people to listen to? More music? Less music? Ambient noise (like… audience during the sports matches, or the classroom during the lecture)?
- Anything else you can think of that will help me polish these as much as possible.
You can DM me if you feel more comfortable with that, or leave feedback here, whatever… thanks in advance! Really appreciate it (and an extra special thank-you to Roger for helping me host the files in such a way y’all can hear them).
