Cheers. Makes more sense
Just thinking as we’re all being chatty and that this is quite an elbowy game that it would be great to finish in real time with voice. I know that’s tricky given time difference but I was thinking 8pm BST on a Sunday?
I could do a bit later, that’s the kiddos bedtime
Whereas that is noon for me, and still iffy because the kids are awake. Can try though.
I wasn’t sure what time zone you’re in.
Async is great if we can’t all get a time. El Grande is a funny one, we could have 45 minutes left, or 90
Maestro and I are probably in the same boat. It’s hard for me to commit to a protected time at all given our family dynamics.
That said, I could possibly swing 2pm EST (GMT -4 with daylight savings). That’s 11am for Maestro and I would guess 6pm in Britain, unless you all have daylight savings time as well?
To be clear, I’m iffy, but that is the one time of day where it’s even a possibility. It would be a treat to actually connect with you all.
Yeah, we’re GMT+1 currently. So 7pm
That whole early evening is a write off. If I’m the blocker carry on without me and I can play as quickly as possible.
This is like coordinating a call with our Israeli supplier with an office in Canada…
We have this tool so that you can propose a time and people can see it in their preferred timezones:
2021-07-04T18:00:00Z
Sounds like this isn’t going to be possible, worth a try though.
Let’s keep going with async
But rest assured, I’m bringing my German action cards that I don’t understand and I’m coming for Catalunya
Then I’m going to have to dig into the Laser Turret expansion I got as an El Grande Kickstarter Promo stretch goal pack.
I mentioned it in the in-game chat, but if you press the zoom button on the lower left of the screen, the cards go back to English on the phone. Give it a try.
Nah, I just got a boost for shutting down my computer for most of the weekend. I’m the bottleneck.
Yeah, a lot of my time would be sleeping in that.
Still, I had fun even though I lost badly but that’s my experience of 5 player El Grande. One player is out of the running early.
I think I got into too small a lead too early and paid for it.
True. I often add the Portugal module in a 5 player.
Catalunya.
But in all seriousness, I’ve never played 5 before and it is a different beast. Just the fact that every card is used every round changes the feel.
You all let me control the king on 2 of the 3 scoring rounds which, in my experience, is hugely powerful. I doubt I’d be lucky enough to get away with that again.
