Discussion: PBF Roads & Boats "The Valley" 4-player

Two-player games use two-player maps, and there are less people adding bricks. The game I played on the Valley map was with 4 players.

You are waiting on me.

You thought the lorry had 5 stone, but it only has 4 from 9-3. Do you want to build the road or the wall, or change the route to pick up another stone from 7-4 and not move the fuel?

Let’s not build the wall please.

Sequencing question - in production I’m going to make paper on 8-6

In movement I’m going to move a donkey with fuel and iron to the wagon factory. If I take geese to the paper, does research happen immediately? (which would be truck factories), and would that then auto convert the wagon factory to a truck factory, and would that then mean the donkey on the (new) truck factory is disposed of an replaced by a truck?

Research can only happen in production.

You can upgrade a factory when you research, if you have a transporter on the factory.

Transporters themselves are never upgraded. You can produce a transporter in the same phase as the research and upgrade.

I think you should a) pick up stuff in production as I suggested and b) forget about movement and building until we resolve the conflict that I suspect is happening in movement.

Ok. I’ll have another look at it

I think it would be a good idea to declare which goods you are picking up in production, and which you are leaving on the ground.

RossM, you appear to have confused stone with fuel (again?) New shafts require iron and fuel.

I am happy to allow some degree of retconning, if you can come up with a simple path that gets fuel to the mines instead of stone, as you don’t seem to have any particular shortage of either, or you can try and dig yourself out of the hole you dug for yourself. Either way, I think you should at least redo this turn of movement.

I am a winner.

Only alterations will be to this turn

Orders updated. Only minor tweaks to a lorry and donkey orders.

Captbnut took what he can at production phase I believe. :man_shrugging:

Sure, but I didn’t expect you give him the chance to pick up the rest in movement. Of course, it all depends on what you are after.

I haven’t seen movement yet. Would be a bit rude to peek.

If I get it right, there’s one gold nugget remaining at 6-8 post-production phase. If so, I’ll call conflict to move there with Don to pick it up.

Sorry, but I specifically asked you 2 days ago by DM if you wanted to call conflict in movement, and you said no, so proceeded based on that explicit statement.

There are actually two gold ore tokens free for you to pick up after Captbnut’s movement, so if picking up gold is your aim, I think you haven’t lost out by your earlier decision.

Anyway, still pillbox to move before you.

Ah no problem

Are there? I thought they were on my rafts? I certainly meant for them to be.

Just look at the image. There’s some gold ore not on any transporter on the far right.

Probably editing

I’d completely missed that they were there!!

Without completely redoing my turn I can’t pick them up and I can’t be bothered.

Gouda cannot move after picking up the 2 logs that were just moved by donkey. I’m proceeding without that movement.
