I know I moaned about this on the Azul video, but I counted 25 cuts in the first 60 seconds. Itâs just a bit much for me.
Got around to watching this and it sounds like a game specifically designed to torture me.
The two times Iâve played Dominion were my worst gaming experiences ever. Me doing brief, uninteresting turns and then getting to sit through my more experienced friends plodding through tedious combo turns. The second time gained additional unpleasantness as they got mad at me for playing to end the game as quickly as possible (which still took far too long).
Iâm so conflicted with this one.
The three bits that appeal are the end game trigger - going from âthis is impossibleâ and building towards that. The bananas ness and lastly that Lehmann usually makes ace games.
On the other side though playing this looks and sounds way too mathsy and too much recalculation. I think in the video Brewster suggests that after a while the game becomes more intuitive- but you have to seemingly have to put in a fair bit to get there.
Love Dominion, but this sounds like Dominion, but bad.
Most deck builders are just âDominion but badâ ![]()
