No. Has to be an empty spot
Ok. By my reading of the rules there are no spaces exactly two hexes from my cities that are at least 2 hexes from an opponent.
So I have to place it next to one of my cities that doesnât border a rivals city?
that is correctâŚ
Letâs place it directly below my size 2 city.
Pay one culture to take great artist card
Final action - collect food and stone from size 2 city.
By doing this you do kind of force me to attack that barbarian settlement next turn (advance roads, move), which would leave me with a city and army uncomfortably close to yours. Then I guess we enter an arms raceâŚ
Iâm open to a different location if you can suggest one?
If itâs all the same to you, next to your first city would avoid the military escalation. Youâll still need to recruit defence and take the barbarian settlement, but thatâs unavoidable.
and you are safe from Barbarians moving because it will not happen unless you use that last advance token and make an event happen on your turn.
Ok.
Letâs compromise.
Letâs put the city SW of my size 2 city
End turn
okay, next up is Persia @Benkyo
Gain 1 gold
- Collect 2 food, 1 iron, 1 idea
- Build city
- Advance Myths for 1 idea, 1 food, get +1 mood
3 gold, 2 food, 1 iron, 4 mood?
Next up will be Aztecs. @MIGHTYSploosh
(I will be away from computer for a bit. Playing in an 8-player Twilight Imperium game)
1 - Advance engineering for free from math advance.
2 - Collect a rock and food from settlement.
3 - Construct Observatory, and receive an action card for that.
Thatâll be all.
(Do you want to wait for your action card before you end the turn?)
For sure, thanks!
Hold on a sec. Can you build an observatory? I think you need two cities
Youâre right, you canât build a city bigger than the amount of cities you have. So⌠one sec.
Iâll simply move 1 settler SW.
