OK, so the new plan is that we start a 24-hour window for nomination now, ending at 2021-04-07T12:19:00Z. Discussion is open. You may if you like say “I don’t intend to nominate now” or “I don’t intend to nominate today”. (The difference is that if you say “now” I’ll ask you again after a nomination is made by someone else, but if nobody nominates the day will end; if you say “today” I will assume you won’t nominate at all before next dawn no matter what other nominations happen.)
The moment someone posts “I nominate X”, discussion is closed; X may defend themselves, then voting is open. You may post brief things (“I’m voting yes because I don’t trust people with no vowels in their names”) but try to stick to the sort of thing you might say while a vote was being taken in real life™.
