A PBF of Tobago + Volcano

That is correct. There are 12 cards in the discard pile, 10 treasure + 2 curse.

I think I can do the following:

Move to J6, spending my amulet to cross the lava, and picking up another amulet. I think this is allowed because I’m not spending the first amulet to get an extra move?
Add lava to D9.
Spend the newly collected amulet to play a clue on the brown treasure: Not in River (illegal clue) → Adjacent to Lava.
That leaves only J6 for the brown treasure, which is where I am, so I will raise it.

Does that all look OK?

Yup, that all looks good!

Choosing order will be A, A, R, A, S, R.

First card is a Treasure 6. I think it’s reasonable to assume that Assussanni will take that.

Second card is a Curse!

Assussanni has no amulet and loses a treasure.

RossM spends an amulet.

Sexagesimalian has no amulet and loses a treasure.

Final treasure values:

  1. Assussanni: 45
  2. RossM: 29
  3. Sexagesimalian: 21

Thank you all for playing!

Nice! I don’t come last!

Thanks for running @RogerBW! I wasn’t keeping careful track of treasures, I thought Ross was closer to me than that.

I’d be interested to see it with 4 players - I imagine that the island feels uncomfortably small and that might change the thinking about how best to play clues. Here I felt I was mostly trying to position a treasure so that no-one else could drive to it before me, but with 4 I wonder if you have to drive to a place and then try to maneuver the treasure to being on your location.

I liked the addition of the volcano. It didn’t seem to do very much for most of the game but for the last two or three treasures the lava was having a big impact.

Thanks for the game everyone.

I hadn’t played Tobago since… well, not long before it came out and I have never played with the Volcano. Thanks for the experience.

I’ve rarely played with 4; I met the game just as the people who had been serious about it on release had mostly played it to exhaustion.
