This week on the inimitable Shut Up & Sit Down Podcast, Tom and Matt showcase their survival skills by going to Germany and then RETURNING from Germany, having played such a very large quantity of games.
Our Essen 2024 special is a quickfire spectacular, running through a bunch of the notable games we got our hands on during the show.
Many pints of sweet sweat have been pumped into the world in order to bring you this episode of the podcast, so you're morally obliged to at least TRY and enjoy it.

Fischen really needs 5 players when I try it or it will probably fall short
I need to let one friend know about Gibberers, I think he’d have the opportunity to get that played. But probably not the opportunity to acquire it -.- I would love to try this one–once.
Bomb Busters is available here from Pegasus here and quite cheap, is probably worth picking up.
I liked Saltfjord and yes it is a perfectly fine game. Maybe I don’t need another perfectly fine euro game right now (possibly later, it is unavailable now anyway because Aporta…)
Altay. We played that at Essen and enjoyed it. It is on my list of games to “probably order” soonish.
And I should give the Lord of the Rings Duel a look. I had it on my list for Essen but it was one of the games that we didn’t make it to
Fishing is good fun, but I’m culling on my trick takers/shedders.
Altay - Enjoyed the demo and I’m very keen to explore it.
Bomb Busters - good fun! Again, we played with the intro scenario (aka baby level) and I’m keen to see if it’s more interesting once you get passed that.
