#237: Flamecraft

"Let us go then, you and I,
When the board is spread out against the table
Like a beast euthanized inside a stable;
Let us go, through certain half-deserted tracks,
The muttering attacks
During restless nights of one-play bad games
And sepia box lids with familiar names:
Rules that follow like a tedious argument
Of soporific intent
To lead you to an overwhelming question …
Oh, do not ask, “What to play?”
Let us go and have our say.

In the room the gamers come and stay
Talking of Asmodee."

Now I am curious, I have only played a single learning game of this.
Looking through the rest of the list I can’t wait for Feierabend to give this a listen

They seemed less agreeable to it than dicetower.

I bet there’s a real risk of looking like an arse if you say you dislike flamecraft even if it’s principle gimmick seems to be lifted from munchkin (jokes)

They are. I feel their critique (so far, have to go to a meeting now) It’s very cute but after playing I immediately thought: it’s great that my nephew likes Dragons so much. I need to see more of it but it may end up at my sister’s house.

Skymines sounds good though

I agree about the Tindaya rulebook and please don’t ever compare it to Spirit Island just because it is an island setting with 2 gods.

I think I need to get Resist!
