@59:00, it is stated that in Power Grid, you know you’ll get the cards in the future market next round. This is definitely not the case. However, perhaps there is more churning of the future market (with burying the highest plant each round) that makes it more predictable then Faiyum (which I have not played). However, I cannot tell you how many times I’ve been burned in Power Grid hoping that the lowest card in the futures market will come down and it doesn’t.

This podcast probably gave me the best idea about whether I’ll bother with faiyum. I think they did a really good job.

Sounds like Faiyum is something to try, before buy.

I still havent played my copy of Shores of Tripoli. In my flat, I can only play old simple Euros.

P.S. good to know that Bigney is still one of Gerdts’ playtester.
