Wishlists dreams

Strucked out the ones I got now. Winner’s Circle will be reprinted by Dice Tree by the end of the year from what I’ve heard, along with their edition of Ra.

New additions:

The Great Zimbabwe which will be reprinted at the end of this year or next year, according to Splotter - most likely next year, if you ask me.

Kogge - forgot to mention this previously. Really like Andreas Steding so this is in the wishlist

I like the idea of N! So every game you buy adds a massive amount to your want list.

I sighted a wild Raptor in my FLGS of choice yesterday. I’m moving a couple of games out of the collection today to accommodate it (it’s not a big game but I’m actively space-making), and will be picking it up this afternoon! I wasn’t sure I’d ever see this one in person again (kind of like Lowlands!).

Why is it so expensive?

I can only guess wooden pieces. Sigh. Too much out goings this month. Hopefully still about in the new year.

Agree with @GeeBizzle. There’s a lot of wood in the box, between sheeples, fences, flood markers, and the various dike pieces, the box is pretty hefty. Pretty much everything else is just cardboard.

Yeah. Seen it myself. There’s a disassembled tree inside that box

It is published by Feuerland… who were founded to publish Terra Mystica. they also do A Feast for Odin… they have a history of deforestation …

Did they do Caverna as well?

Of course. Forgot that one… (never played it) but you could probably heat a cavern for a while on the meeples in those boxes.

Now that I have seen Quinns review of Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy, the list of games that I would love to buy/ can’t justify the price they cost by the amount of times I would ever be able to have to play them is definitely grown. Again.

PS: I love the Tupperware concept to spread each player’s parts. Suuuuuch a good idea.

By the way, loved the playmat, but I think that game needs to be payed on a tennis table.

You’re not alone there.

I wonder if we could go half’s and justify shipping it across the country once a year when we get time to play it.

Games like this, gloomhaven, and diplomacy are why one of my first big purchases when I stopped flatting was an oversized extendable dining table. Although I still haven’t got a proper table cover for it like I want.

Agree. Hard to justify Eclipse 2 with that price, with that box, when I have 5 or 6 area control games already that I really enjoy playing.

Eclipse is a game I enjoyed back in the day, and a rebalanced and slightly streamlined version with fancy bits certainly caught my eye, but those over-sized ugly “trayz” were enough for me not to buy in. It’s a minor aesthetic quibble, I suppose, but at this point in my life that’s enough.

(I am aware of the inconsistency in having “aesthetic quibbles” influence my purchasing decisions when I just bought Roads & Boats)

That would be so tempting if you were on the North Island… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Although it is a perfect excuse to visit the South Island more often…

The trays are actually a reason I’d buy it, packing so much into a cleverly minimised space is awesome. But that is Too Much Money for any boardgame that isn’t substantially better than Gloomhaven (ie: number one for months). If people are screaming about how good Eclipse 2nd is in another six months then… maybe.
