Voting for the Pearple's Choice Awards 2021

(If you’re seeing this as a banner, click here for more.)

You are invited to vote for the Pearple’s Choice Awards 2021!

You do not need to have nominated in order to vote. Sadly, the poll functions of this board can’t cope with preference voting, so instead please send me a PM. For each category, put the things you want to vote for in descending order, as it might be:

best pear award
game A
game Q
game T

You don’t have to vote in every category, or order every nominee - if you get to a point where you don’t have a preference between what’s left, just stop voting there. Voting “No award” is mostly for the special case where you would rather see the award not made at all than go to horrible game X (which you then don’t put on your ballot at all). Probably the easiest option is the drag-and-drop voting form.

All the first-place votes are counted first. If there isn’t a clear majority, whatever got least votes is eliminated, and those ballots’ second-choice votes are distributed among the remaining candidates. This continues until there is a clear majority.

Voting ends at 2021-02-04T09:00:00Z.

Can you put the descriptions in for the named awards? I remember the Minutewalt award was for best social distance game, for instance, but not everyone may know that.

Mind MGMT is playable coop? I thought it was a versus game? or is this the sense where teams are considered coop, i. e. not coop?

Done.

I’ve also put together a very basic drag-and-drop voting form - you should be able to drag nominees around within each category, then click “compile all votes” and PM me the JSON text that appears right at the bottom of the page. I will reply to you with the vote as decoded, just to make sure it’s worked correctly.

I hope I’ll be able to play some before the deadline. Funny enough the best chances have the games in the Mature Pearple category

A reminder: voting is still open, and will end this Friday.
