Twilight Imperium 4th Edition: PBF GAME 1

Just this one time, unless I am very much mistaken.

(EDIT: The interweb seems to agree with me. “Directives” are one-time effects, whereas “Laws” are long-term effects)

Thanks. So i will save my trade goods by removing 1 vote from Lodor. To keep it and Ang in case this passes.

Will vote all in for tech.

So for clarity @GeeBizzle, by saying “all in”, how many votes? And do you want to exhaust all your planets (meaning you may not have the 4 Resources necessary to use the free Tech action)?

Also, technically, it’s still the Ghosts and @GabrielH’s vote. But that’s a minor point, you can still vote whenever you want if it won’t change your mind.

I will vote for tech (although it looks like it’s passing anyway). Just one planet so I can use Lisis and Archon Ren to activate it

Ok I’m confused don’t the resources normally reset after a vote.

I assumed this happened during the card action happened during the next phase.

So apparently most of us completely misunderstood this one; rather than removing the need for a token in later rounds, this actually gives us an extra use of this tech right now. So you can essentially get free tech, because the exhausted planets will reset before the next action round. It’s just this does give an unusual usage of planets other than voting.

I’ll vote 12 for tech, just cause. (Leaving Creuss unexhausted)

I mean, that’s exactly how I understood it: one free use of the secondary element of any Strategy that is voted for right now. Since Tech’s secondary still requires 4 Resources, you get to do the action (spend 4 Resources for a tech), but that means you still need those resources.

After the Agenda phase is complete, all your planets refresh. The phase doesn’t complete until both Agendas are voted on and the results of those votes happen.

Regardless, no harm done. I think the vote passes! Everyone please list the Tech they would like to research and the 4 Resources you are going to spend to research it (keep in mind standard tech prerequisites apply here).

For example, the Titans of Ul will research War Suns, although obviously ours are called “Peace Stars,” since they bring peace. I will exhaust Hope’s End and Rigel III for the resources (although they will be unExhausted at the start of the turn).

Permanent, radioactive peace.

Ill take hyper metabolism from exhausting lodor and ang.

I’ll exhaust Creuss and AI Dev. Algorithm to research War Suns. The more the merrier when it comes to peacekeeping!

However… please take a look? you still need to meet the requirements (3 red, 1 yellow) of the tech.

@GabrielH after research, I stand corrected. You are good.
