Star Trek Ascendancy game 2

(thanks to shields that would have been 5-6 anyway)
You gain the Research.

Put it in the pool please.

Ship in the anomaly enter warp.

Ship in the anomaly leaves warp. Again due south?

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Lane length d3+1: 3

Mutara Nebula (H5 Phenomenon-4): Ships in this Phenomenon may not use their Shields.

Ship therefore lost on 5-6: d6: 5

One command left.

Begin researching AI tactical analysis.

(Mainly for the warp token)

@RossM If you’re done your turn, you have to say the next number in the sequence.

The theory is that the first player knows all the numbers and calls out each in turn.

Ah! I have learned another important lesson! My apologies.

Next number is… 7! Number 7, if you could please step up to the galactic forum and take your turn…

Approaches counter with slip of paper with the number 7 written on it.

That’s me!

Build Phase

Build colony on Deneb V (-1 ship, -1 culture).
Build culture node on Deneb V (-1 production, -2 culture).
Build research node on Deneb V (-1 production, -2 research).

End build phase with 5 production, 0 research, 0 culture.

Command Phase

Command 1: begin new advancement project, Multicultural Collaboration.
Command 2: ship in space lane next to Indri VIII moves at impulse back to Earth…
Command 3: then moves at impulse again, aiming to use the new space lane to connect Earth to the Vlugta Asteroid Field.
Command 4: ship at Earth enters warp…
Command 5: then travels → Deneb V → explores heading north.

Turn ends after resolving the exploration, unless I somehow end up with more commands.
If the exploration turns up any research, place it on Multicultural Collaboration.

For Command 5: d3+1: 3

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
I agree with your build costs.

  • C1 research project started.
  • C2-C3 two Impulse moves, connection works
  • C4-C5 exploration

Warp lane length d3+1: 4
Destination system Rog (H5 PP-1); ship is lost on 5-6 d6: 3

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Rog exploration card: Bioengineered Wasting Disease

Roll a die: if the result is equal to or lower than the number of Research Nodes you Control, a cure has been found with enough time to save the Ship. Otherwise, destroy one of your Ships in this System.

Ship is saved on 1-2: d6: 6

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Next card is 8, which I hold, which makes things easy.
Build phase:

  • colonise Hupyria (1 ASCENDANCY, no ship needed)
  • establish a research node there (1 production 2 research)
  • put 1 research towards Vulcan Monasteries

Command phase:

  • C1 Brave Hazard at McAllister, ship lost on a 6: d6: 5

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:

  • C2 begin research Obelisks of Ancient Vulcan
  • C3 begin research Ancient Vulcan Reliquary
  • C4 ship in warp at Vulcan tries to link McAllister Nebula to Bajor

Lane length d3+1: 4

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
…you know, it doesn’t quite meet.
New system: Nervala IV (RR-3)
Exploration: Children of Tama Negotiations

To Colonise this System, roll a die and add your Ascendancy: if the total is 4 or more, you may Colonise for free. Otherwise, you may not Colonise this System this turn.

  • C5 ship at Kurl dewarps via Bajor to try to do a better job.
    Warp lane length d3+1: 2

Which means the final card must be a 9 for @Delwayne.

Is it my turn? I should have 4 Production tokens.
Romulan Turn 3
1 research onto project.
Build 3 ships
One ship from Romulus will go in and out of warp to explore new system (10oc)

Yes, it is. And I agree, I think you should have 4 production, 3 research and 1 culture at the start of your turn?

@RogerBW asked for a die roll:
Probably means I’ve taken them when I should have taken from another player’s board. Or, when I said I’d done the correction earlier, I hadn’t.

Warp lane length d3+1: 4
Destination system Janus VI (H6 RR-2)
Ship is lost on a 6. d6: 4
