I don’t think this has been posted upthread. I’ve just submitted my wants for the UK MT and use duplicate protection for the first time. There’s loads of written explanations on how it works and how to do it, but I found that this short video allowed me to get my head round it.

It’s a user video from BGG and it just shows you how to do it.

Currently very happy with the pending results of the UK Maths Trade
At the moment I am receiving Voyages of Marco Polo, San Juan and Flick em Up Dead of Winter in exchange for Cry Havoc, 51st State and Concordia.
I’m still looking to swap out games that I don’t like or don’t play games ones that I’m interested in so as long as I’m not losing tons of value I’m happy to be flexible.

I know. 3 last time.
It’s only my second maths trade. This one had 13% of games traded, which to me sounds pretty low. There’s some good stuff still out there.

A little low perhaps, but it’s usually under 20%.
Most of it comes from the overvaluation of games people own and undervaluation of trades as discussed above

Since I added For-Trade and Wanted-in-Trade games for the math trade on BGG… I keep getting offers for some of my games. How do I figure out if an account is a trustworthy trading partner?
I haven’t been able to find trade ratings on the website.
The proposed trade is really nice though: unpunched recent edition of Orleans versus my Takenoko (including Chibis expansion). I hope it works out. Account looks like someone cares about their account so I am hoping that is enough to go on with the trade.
Also: from the last math trade the guy I am supposed to get the Five Tribes promos from cannot find them
and now offered me some 7 Wonders promos which I don’t have and since I do own that game it is actually the marginally better trade for me. If I had actually wanted the Five Tribes promos though that would really suck.

Good, I think? I’m gutted you had a bad experience with the Maths Trade, I hope it doesn’t put you off.
I think your trade rating used to be a number in brackets after your username. I can’t find mine or anyone else’s on BGG at the moment though. I know mine went up after I received trade feedback.
I really hope for humanity that there aren’t untrustworthy traders on BGG

Well, I wasn’t motivated to participate in the leftover trade for this one.
But I think I’ll try at least one more time. That is why I made a Wanted-in-Trade list because that hopefully gives me color coded hints for the full games instead of promos. I like promos, but I wouldn’t trade for them. And personally when I offer a game I will always offer a game including everything I got for it. It didn’t occur to me to split it apart into different items.
As I need to reduce the number of actual games in my collection and have previously donated games I didn’t want anymore I don’t mind too much. Now if it had been a game I wasn’t quite so sure about wanting to get rid of I might have been put off more. As it is, I am a little disappointed but as I got so many new games recently that little twinge of “meh” is just drowned out by the excitement of the rest.

If you search for a trade match, it shows trade ratings on the result page. The first column of the trade search results is info on the user and the last line in that column is their trade rating which is just the amount of positive feedback they’ve received.

Finally found someone who wanted that great pile of X-Wing stuff, and got it to the post today. Phew!
Now, what games shall I put in that space…?
