My husband’s work had a Family Day yesterday. I’m not usually supposed to say much about what he does but since they let us take this photo, I’m assuming it’s ok to share it. ![IMG_1428](https://discussion.tekeli.li/uploads/default/original/3X/9/f/9f064ae41666814ee7535ac00bddf0b0e6f9b85b.jpeg) We are standing on the under-construction JFK with the decommissioned Enterprise in the background. ---

> [@Brattyjedi](#): > > We are standing on the under-construction JFK with the decommissioned Enterprise in the background. Yeah - the picture let me identify _Enterprise_ immediately, and with a Google Maps overhead, I have a decent idea of where you were standing. ---

It’s kind of a habit these days. When I visited the Gare Loch, after being involved with several RPGs that had used it as a site, one of the things that jumped out at me was “Someone who lives in _that_ row of houses reports to Moscow, indirectly.” The UK’s SSBNs are based there, and I assume that Russian intelligence is professional enough to keep track of things going on at their base. ---

This is pretty much why I’m not usually supposed to say much about what my husband does. Little bits and pieces that don’t seem like much can mean a lot to someone who knows what they’re doing. And not everyone has benign intentions. Again, this was an officially approved photo op spot while other areas we went were very clear about no pictures, so I’m not worried about this at all. ---

Oh, indeed—doing this kind of thing as a hobby makes it very clear just what’s possible from a few “harmless” data leaks. ---
