But where is the betrayal?
Hey, those are my Lancers!
Bring it on cream puff! (Seriously, that’s how I see the White pawn)
Longbows active to remove 1 attack die.
Unlike some people, once I commit, I tend to not backstab… Mr. Yellow U-Boat
Also there was nothing for me to gain by backstabbing the chancellor… so make of that what you will, either I am an honorable Cloud (creampuff? Pah!) or a pragmatic one… either way I am going to rain purple lances on that blue pirate.
Note that White is not using the Lancers, as they are ruled by Blue, and White must also target the site.
Defence pool: 7
Attack pool: 11
Defence roll: 12+5=17
Attack roll: 10 (2 skulls)
To win, White must sacrifice 8 more warbands, and does so, seizing the Darkest Secret and burning 2 secrets from it.
Blue loses 2 warbands, who go into the Cursed Cauldron to emerge as purple warbands.
White cannot take control of the site, due to Ring of Devotion, so it reverts to the bandits.
I see no further actions that can be taken, so White Rests.
@COMaestro is up.
(One more shield and that would have been a failed campaign!)
Sorry for the delay. And this will never work.
2 Supply to Travel to the Lush Coast.
Use 1 Supply to trade 1 Secret with the Disgraced Captain for 2 Favor.
Another Supply to Trade 1 Secret with Welcoming Party for 2 more Favor.
1 Favor with Extra Provisions to Muster some Warbands.
2 Supply to Travel back to the Salt Flats.
Spend 1 Favor at the Wayward Inn for 2 Supply.
Campaign for the Banner of Darkest Secrets, using Longbows for a +1.
@yashima I assume you are using Extra Provisions and Cursed Cauldron. Are you also using Fire Talkers?
The campaign is currently 6 attack dice, 5 warbands, vs. 5 defence dice, 4 warbands.
EDIT: Yashima could not use Extra Provisions, but fortunately this does not affect the result: the Chancellor joins as an Ally, meaning the Oathkeeper die is applied.
Which is why this will never work!
I am using Fire Talkers, yes.
For +3, right?
Well, keep dreaming those dreams
I’ll think about it… … … no. Let’s just talk away 3 of those attack dice. So glad I still have a secret left.
So lucky I couldn’t Sleight it away, you mean.
I feel like we had a very civilized game of intrigues going on for a few rounds and now this is just a tavern brawl “Here catch that chair!” A flaming chair hurtles towards your troops, taking out 3 temporarily.
Defence pool: 5 dice
Attack pool: 3 dice
Defence roll: 4+4=8
Attack roll: 2 (1 skull)
Sacrificing the remaining 4 warbands would be insufficient to win, so the campaign fails. The 3 killed warbands rise again from the Cursed Cauldron.
I assume @COMaestro rests.
@GeeBizzle is up.
It was worth a try…
Except for giving @yashima a growing army. I feel like that will cause me pain down the road.
Might be worth noting that Yashima cannot use Fire Talkers again right now.
Yes, yes, please come here, come and make my Zombie Army grow!
The Salt Flats are a bit crowded these days… but hey… I am waiting for you at the Wayside Inn (can someone please think of a good name for the thing? Like “The Braying Brawler” or something like that?)
Yes, of course that was my master plan!
It totally wasn’t.
Oh noes, I totally didn’t see that… now what shall I do with my army? I hope they are enough to defend me from the sea of yellow troops overflowing from the Cradle to the Salt Flats.
My army grows restless. It screams for blood. I cannot hold it back much longer… we’ll maybe just until I finish work.
