It’s always a sad sight when a chancellor makes a sound like a slowly dying balloon. But also phew.
- Gain 1 favour from the salt flats
- spend 2 supply to travel to the wastes
- spend 2 supply to campaign against the bandits at the wastes and the great slum, using 3 warbands and longbows.
Defence pool: 2 dice. Defence roll: 1 + 2 bandits for a total of 3.
Attack pool: 4 dice. Attack roll: 3 and 1 skull.
Sacrifice 1 more warband to win.
So, the bandits are defeated, but with only 1 warband left, you can only rule 1 site. The bandits take back the other. @Whistle_Pig which site will you rule? And will you use Spirit Snare before you rest?
I’ll put that last war band on the wastes, and use the spirit snare to take a favour from the Arcane bank.
Then rest
Okay, provisional move:
Wake place 2 favour on The People’s Bloody Mob-fisted Favour
Action Burn one secret and return another to gain 4 favour from the Alchemist
Muster (1 supply, 1 favour) by placing one favour on Spirit Snare*
Muster (1 supply, 1 favour) again by placing 1 favour on taming charm
Move to Hindland wastes (2 supply)
Muster again here (1 supply)
Campaign (last 2 supply) targeting the chancellor’s pawn (sorry, ex boss!)
I’ll wait for the results of that
Defence pool: 4 dice. Defence roll: 2 + 1 warband = 3.
Attack pool: 7 dice (Longbows). Attack roll: 6 and 1 skull.
Campaign is successful with 1 warband lost. Chancellor’s warband retreats. 4 favor is burned.
@Lordof1 please choose how many of your remaining 7 warbands will be used to take the site, and where the Chancellor will be booted to.
2 war bands here. Chancellor is off back to the plains.
Reveal my vision.
Flip my hidden advisor card for 4 supply.
Search the deck.
The last vision is drawn, and kept as a face-down adviser.
Two more cards discarded to the cradle. Still @Lordof1 to go, but with 0 supply left.
Search the discard.
Rest
How much favor is on the People’s Favor banner?
Looks like 8 to me.
Okay, I am going to do a normal Trade with Spirit Snare for 1 Supply, using 1 Secret to get 2 Favor.
I spend another Supply and 1 Favor to Muster using Taming Charm.
I will Travel to the Plains for 2 Supply, gaining a Warband due to Dragonskin Drums.
Campaign at the Plains against the Chancellor’s warbands and the Banner of Darkest Secrets.
Defence pool: 3. Defence roll: 2 + 4 warbands = 6.
Attack pool: 10. Attack roll 6.
1 warband sacrificed to win the campaign.
2 defending warbands killed. 2 defending warbands trapped in the Obsidian Cage.
Banner of the Darkest Secret seized.
Oathkeeper title claimed by @GeeBizzle.
@COMaestro how many of your 9 warbands do you want to place on the plains? And will you now rest? (taking 1 favour from the Chancellor with naysayers)
Place 3 warbands.
Before I rest, I have a proposal for the other players.
@GeeBizzle - If you Trade with the Key to the City using your Secret, you can get 3 Favor. Do so.
@Whistle_Pig - Make GeeBizzle and I your Citizens. We will give you all our Favor when you do, which will give you 9, enough to Retrieve the People’s Favor Banner from Lordof1 and prevent him from winning. If you agree, I will also release your warbands from the Cage before Resting, as a show of good faith.
I did not think I could have won against 8 defense dice, which is why I did not go against him directly. From how I see it, I think this is the only way we can prevent his victory.
I think the only viable option if we were to attempt to prevent a win from lordof1 would be to become citizens To increase the chancellors warbands to 10 and allow the chancellor to campaign against the banner but the odds are poor.
I think the fox may have done it and any action from me at this point against them will remove any chance I have of a victory in a prolonged game but help secure a blue victory or allow the chancellor a roll to maintain their reign.
I see no benefit for me to my intervention.
