Oath PBF companion thread, for rules questions and the like

Just so we are clear: the keep is free. The only reason not to use the keep would be if you want COMaestro to win, which is entirely possible. Extra Provisions would cost one favor. You have one favor.

Oh, I misread that. I will keep that favour, and stick to just The Keep.

Am I right that the cost to exile Yashima is still 5 favour?

I say it is :infinity::blush:
I think it is still 5 no matter what I say

Yes, that is correct.

I don’t understand the “guarantee citizenship” bit here. You have the controls, the decisions are yours.

The Chancellor will win if you exile Yashima, Yashima will win if you don’t. Either way, it’s an Empire win, so all player boards will stay on the side they are on at the end of this game.

(The Chancellor will either remain chancellor or become an exile, as we are using a house rule of maintaining player to colour continuity, and the “chancellor’s colour” is currently on the exile side)

Ah, I wasn’t sure if the victor got to pick citizens for the next game regardless of citizenship at the end.

That’s an exile win thing. New regime, gets to invite other exiles while all the old guard become exiles.

You are welcome! I enjoy moderating Oath almost as much as playing it - it’s all about seeing how the story goes.

The suit of the Edifice has to match the suit of the denizens it replaces, so for example the Sprawling Rampart would replace the Garrison. If you want to replace Tents, it would be the Ancient Forge that does.

Oh, I was not aware. Let me have another look.

Really fun game @Benkyo thank you.

It was a good game. Congrats to the empire. (I see it all went down while I was asleep)

We really need to name the Chronicles or we shall conjure something unnamed from the depths of the deck and it will be all our downfall.

You can see that the top card in the world deck happens to be a vision, so a world deck search will draw that vision and nothing else. Are you sure that’s what you want to do?

There is just one non-vision card in the Cradle discard, which you know was dealt randomly at setup and is not actually someone else’s rejected card.

Oh, true, did not spot that…

I will draw from Cradle instead, thanks Benkyo

Can I assume you play the searched card as a face-down adviser?

If you use the elders, you no longer have any favor to muster with.

(But you can get some with spirit snare)

Oops, true. No mustering then. I will update the original post. I thought I was revealing an adviser, but I have edited that as well. Gosh, not enough favour to start with. I have to use some patience.

You can use spirit snare, or trade. Also no harm in using Scryer.

I rather get secrets for now… but thanks
