I assume that using Master of Disguise means that I would need two secrets to trade for favour?
Yes, it’s a trade modifier that costs a secret to activate. You can of course choose not to use it.
By the way, I don’t think you have to publicly annouce your discard order in a truthful harp search.
This literally has a 0% chance of success. You are spending 4 supply and losing a warband for nothing. Are you sure that’s what you want to do?
I’ve edited it to be marginally less insane.
Sorry, but that’s just as pointless - zero chance of success.
The maximum you can get is 3, versus a minimum defence of 5.
Let’s say that I’m doing it for dramatic effect

Might as well go all in then. Losing a campaign by 3 is not as dramatic as by… a lot more.
Sounds good to me
As comaestro points out, he rules the site and the lancers - you cannot use them.
You must also target the site.
Question? How is the defense dice pool totalled up? In this instance, with targeting both the banner and the site? If I am reading the cards right (which is questionable, as the picture is small on my phone), the banner gets 1 die per secret on it (6), and the site gets one per warband (3), so wouldn’t I have 9 defense dice?
Defence dice is targets, in this case 6 for the banner and 1 for the site (sites are all 1 die). You add Warbands to the total rolled, so a fixed +5 (Warbands do not provide defence dice).
You rolled X2, X2, 2, 1, 0, 0, 0 for 12, then +5 for Warbands.
Got it. Thanks for the explanation.
Ah, I thought I could use it at my site… the thing about Oath I like the least is campaigning. I really try to avoid that. I much rather win by intrigue rather than brute force
But it had to be done… or to put it differently: I couldn’t see another way.
And the Ring of Devotion with the Alchemist made brute force possible.
Yeah, that is a brutal combination!
Quick question: since Bandits now own this site, are Lancers available for anyone to use?
Nope, because bandits won’t attack.
(or use cards that discard themselves, or have a cost).
I was reminded this morning that the successor rule / win condition exists. I know you won’t believe me but I had completely forgotten about that. I take back everything about not being a backstabby Thundercloud. (Oops)
