there has been a nice little carousel of banners…
No error, but you do have 1 supply left
(And I suppose I want to confirm that you understand you lose the most from this play - 5 secrets to Yashima’s 4. The effect is that everyone is left with just 1 secret. Secrets on the Darkest Secret are unaffected. Not saying it’s a bad move or even an unreasonable one, just making sure the effect is understood.)
My hope is that I have a slight advantage in favour and the chancellor can encourage a campaign on the banner.
Who knows I may push my way back into the chancellors good graces yet.
Oh, that would make for a good story, which I am always up for.
Btw: I am not winning yet. Oathkeeper must first flip to Usurper before I can win with that.
This sounds like main thread talk to me!
To confirm, this will use all 4 supply. Is that really something you want to do?
Ouch, looked at the wrong place…
No, cancel that, I will look in the Cradle area instead, I will edit in the main thread.
Question from a currently ongoing game of Oath. Is it possible to campaign with a force of zero warbands? I know there’s no point if you intend to take a site, because you would have no force to leave there. This has come up because a player wanted to use mercenaries (+ 3 attack dice) but had no warbands on their board.
Asking the difficult questions here
The Law of Oath on page 6/7 explains the major actions and under campaign it does not state anywhere that you are required to have any warbands. It is late though so I may have overlooked it. Seems to be an edge case. I would probably allow it.
Sounds legal to me, even if probably a bad idea.
Oath seems to inspire people to have bad ideas
In order to reflect how this would go at a table, I’m going to say the only private messages allowed are card images, representing the offer to “peek” at a card. All other communication to other players should be public.
Technically, you can’t peek at a card without also revealing what is under it, but I’m making this secondary reveal optional - as in the PBEM format you could just as easily name the card and have the other player look it up.
Well, I told him, the first relic was not quite to my liking
Nothing more than that. I am aware that we wouldn’t be going to a corner to talk strategy.
Yeah, I guessed that. Just establishing rules for communication.
Btw those revealed effects under the chancellor’s relics are nasty. all of them. for someone.
Insert ominous cackle.
No info was given away other than the relic, and what was inferred from the main thread, “If you prefer this one instead…”
Btw, will the transfer of relic be made public? By that I mean, would I give it away face up or face down??
