Run machine (Pay 1 :squid: to @captbnut)

Set container price to 2 :squid:

Although crowded with multiple other ships, Captain Snuggles thinks he does a fine job of successfully docking at the Island.

It’s Auction Time.

Today for one pink/purple container.

Please bid really highly because I’d like money / really low so I can buy it myself and complete my colour set.

I’m also ashamed to say that I have only just twigged what @RossM is using as a currency denomination. :woman_facepalming:

@VictorViper is forced to concede. (Well really I choose to given the alternative).

Pillbox takes the auction with $5.

After much consideration I have decided to accept this bid and take the subsidised 10 :squid:

Update and bag counts to follow.

So, $5 for 1 crate?

Rapid inflation at work.

Worth noting our auctions have been bizarrely undervalued as compared to any other game I’ve ever played! $5 for a quality crate can mean a net of $5 and can otherwise make the difference when your $10 and $2 crates are getting out of whack.

Massively dull answer to @Captbnut.

That container was worth £5 to me, because by completing the set it raised my final score by £5, not including its inherent value.

Plus, you never know, perhaps these are the containers of most value to pillbox.

I feel that in the late game, $5 is a decent price for a container. While we aren’t necessarily in the late game yet, we’re certainly not in the early game.

Yeah, things tend to change dramatically as players start to get more confident with their assessments of other players. Tends to be a fun ramp-up and most of my games have had at least one or two truly insane late-game auctions, so watch for that!

I can definitely see the one pink box auction taking off on this game. :grinning:
